Delete Your Focus Study Account

How to permanently delete your Focus Study account and everything in it, with or without the app.

Want to keep your tasks?

Deleting can't be undone. Before you delete, you can save everything: in Focus Study, go to Settings and choose "Download a copy of my data".

Delete your account in the app

This is the quickest way, and it works straight away.

On your phone

  1. Open Focus Study and tap Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap the delete button.

On your computer

  1. Open Focus Study and click Settings.
  2. Click Delete account at the bottom.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm, then click the delete button.

Your account is deleted from every device at once. Any other phone or computer you were signed in on signs itself out the next time it's opened.

Delete your account without the app

If you no longer have Focus Study installed, email info@jotwise.co.uk from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my Focus Study account". We'll delete your account within 7 days and email you when it's done. If you write from a different address, we'll need to check it's really your account first.

What gets deleted

All of this is deleted from our database straight away, and from our sync service shortly after. We don't keep backup copies.

What we keep

Only a scrambled, one-way version of your email address. It can't be turned back into your email and contains nothing else. It's kept for as long as Focus Study is available, so that a free trial can't be started again with the same email address.

Your calendar

Your calendar appointments are never stored on our servers, so there's nothing of them to delete. Calendar sign-ins and calendar links are kept only on your own computer and are removed when you disconnect them in the Calendar, or uninstall Focus Study. You can also remove Focus Study's access from your Microsoft account or Google account.
